When disaster strikes throughout the state, the Placer County Fire agencies are prepared to act. The Western Placer County Fire Chiefs Association is the organization, operating under guidelines from California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), to organize and deploy local emergency response when requests for assistance are made from other areas of the state.
All the experts predicted that the fire season of 2015 would be one of the worst in history. The exceptionally dry weather and low moisture content in the ground created a perfect formula for fire to strike throughout the state of California. The City of Roseville Fire Department along with the other fire agencies in the region were challenged to prepare for this predicted season.
