We offer two-hour programs for 4-6 grade that include a one-hour guided discovery of the exhibit hall and one-hour of experiments in the tech lab.
Cost: $4.50 per student. Minimum charges apply to groups smaller than 10.

H2Own Saving water is important to all living things. Explore where our water comes from, how much we have to share and ways to conserve water in your home. Students will explore hands-on ways to make changes in their everyday lives to become more water efficient. Find out more.

Keepin' it Clean The health of our watershed is affected by how we live. Learn how water flows throughout the region and the types of pollutants commonly found there. Investigate water pollution crime scenes using scientific inquiry and testing equipment. Find out more.
Zero-Waste Lunch Dump Bring Your lunches and eat in the outside courtyard (or meeting rooms on rainy days). After lunch, we will conduct a "lunch dump" where students explore and categorize the stuff they tossed in the trash after lunch. Some of the leftover food is fed to our worms in our worms composting bin. Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour after your tour for lunch and this FREE add-on activity. A gift shop is available to visit (in small groups) during your lunch break.
Martha Riley Library Tour (Wednesdays and Fridays Only) Located in the same building as the Exploration Center, the Martha Riley Library has an extensive collection of media. The Library houses environmental books and periodicals, plus over 40 internet-connected public computers for further green research. Free tours on how to use the library can be requested as library staffing allows. Check the box on the application form if interested. Allow an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour for a library tour.
