Our guided tours through the exhibits and LEED-certified building will be customized to fit your group's interests and learning levels. These tours offer you a great group experience through the interpretation skills of our excellent staff. Both one-hour tours offer the option to add a FREE library tour and lunch activity to your visit.

Field Trip Options:

Exhibits Exploration Tour
Take a tour of our interactive exhibits with the help of our knowledgeable staff. You can choose any or all of our three areas of interest for your tour: electricity, solid waste/recycling and water use/watersheds. We will try our best to design a tour with you to fit your group's needs.

LEED-certified Green Building and Grounds Tour
The Martha Riley Library and Roseville Utility Exploration Center are housed in one of the very few LEED-certified buildings in Roseville. Bring your group for a tour of the facility and the grounds as well as a lesson in sustainability. You will learn the various options we have to make a difference in our community by living a more "green" existence. The tour will include a tour of both the Library and Exploration Center, a scavenger hunt for green products within the building, a look around the outside of the building and some lessons in living a more eco-friendly life.

Field Trip Add-Ons:

Riley Library Add-On Tour (Wednesday's and Friday's Only)
Located in the same building as the Exploration Center, the Riley Library has an extensive collection of technology and environmental books and periodicals, plus over 40 internet-connected public computers for further self-guided or guided green research. Free tours on how to use the library can be requested as library staffing allows. Check the box on the registration form if you are interested we will make the necessary arrangements.

Lunch Dump Activity
Bring your lunches and eat in the outside courtyard or the Gathering Place in the library lobby. The "Lunch Dump" activity will reinforce the messages learned during the tour your group received and is a fun activity for all ages.
