| | e-Waste Drop Off
Your e-Waste is just too valuable to toss away! Bring your e-waste to the Utility Exploration Center and recycle it for FREE. Electronic waste (or e-waste) is made mainly from plastic, glass and steel, but it also contains small quantities of gold, silver, cadmium and other valuable metals. These materials can be safely separated and recycled into new electronic items and avoid landfills. E-waste dropped off at the Exploration Center is recycled by SIMS Recycling Solutions, an international recycling company with a sorting and shredding facility in Roseville, and provides funding support for our IDEAscape project. Please review the list of approved materials before you come in. | | YES, PLEASE BRING | NO, DO NOT BRING | | Computers | NO Microwaves | | Cameras | NO Kitchen Appliances | | Phones | NO Vacuums | | Monitors | NO Fans | | Printers | NO A/C Units | | Television Sets | NO CFL Light Bulbs | | Keyboards / Mice | NO Batteries | | Stereo Equipment | NO Printer Cartridges | | Wiring and Cables | NO Cardboard Boxes | | DVD, DVR & CD Players | NO Packing Materials | Dropping off e-Waste:
