Fun Run & Walk
The Earth Day Fun Run will feature two courses. A half mile course for youth ages 5– 12 and a mile course for ages 13+. The youth race will begin at 9:00am, followed by the adult race at 9:30. All participants will receive a “recycled” T-shirt and will be entered in a raffle that will take place after the run.

Fee: Youth Ages 5-12: $3
Adult Ages 13+: $5
Check In begins @ 8:30 am

Art Projects
Visit the Green Kid’s Zone in the center of the all-weather field to participate in free art activities provided by ReCreate, the Maidu Interpretive Center, and the Utility Exploration Center.

Creekweek Clean-Up
Gather friends and family and meet your finned, furry and feathered neighbors who call Roseville’s creeks home. Sign up at www.creekweek.org and choose one of thirteen different creek or open space areas to clean. Volunteers are also needed to plant oaks and willows along the creek in Mahany Park under supervision of Roseville City staff and Restoration Resources. Please contact Dry Creek Conservancy at dcc@surewest.net or at 773-6575.

Utility Exploration Center

FREE Tours – All Day
Explore a one-of-a-kind environmental learning center focused on protecting natural
resources in a fun, and engaging way. Learn about energy efficiency, renewable
technology, water conservation and recycling.

Double Exposure Exhibit
This temporary photographic exhibit will be available for viewing inside the Exploration Center.  For more information on this fantastic display of climate change, visit our Double Exposure page.

Riley Library Activities
The Roseville public Library’s Teen Council will present a free puppet show for all families attending Earth Day. The Puppet Show, entitled “The Three Little Fishies and the Big, Bad Shark” will be shown at 10:45am with repeats are 11:45am, 12:45pm, and 1:45pm.  Come hear their underwater story of the three little fishes that live in our precious water and build their houses out of recycled materials.

Climb the Wall
Visit the Roseville Sports Center on Earth Day and climb the Rock Wall for FREE!

Environmental Films
Throughout Earth Day we will be showing environmental films inside the Technology Lab and Lobby of the Exploration Center. Take a break from the festivities and learn something new!
