Friday Flicks

Friday Flicks is on a summer break.  Be sure to check out RCONA's website for summer Movie in the Park information.

Grab a blanket, lawn chair and the family and come to the Vernon Street Town Square to enjoy watching a movie under the stars!  Light refreshments available for purchase (cash only). Movies begin at 7:30pm or sunset on a 30ft screen, weather-permitting. Free

8/14: Strange Magic

Marianne, a fairy princess, discovers her fiancé Roland cheating on her the day of their wedding. Vowing never to love again, Marianne dedicates herself to protecting her younger sister, Dawn. When a love potion is stolen from the Dark Forest, the Bog King kidnaps Dawn to hold her until he gets the potion back, intent on destroying it and keeping love out of his kingdom. (Rated PG)

9/18: Cinderella

A live-action retelling of the classic fairytale about a servant stepdaughter who is abused by her jealous stepmother and stepsisters after her father died. Forced to be a servant in her own house, through it all she did not let anything or anyone crush her spirit. Then one day, she meets a dashing stranger in the woods. (Rated PG)

10/16: Avengers: Age of Ultron

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him. (Rated PG-13)

11/20: Tomorrowland

Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory. (Rated PG)

12/4: It's a Wonderful Life*

A young George Bailey, overwhelmed by family obligations and a sense of responsibility toward his community, feels tied down to a company he never had an interest in working for, and a life he never wanted to live. As he ages, he sees his youth, dreams and opportunities pass him by. Unknown to George, all of his friends and family have been praying for him to get through those hard times. Told through the point of view of a group of angels, he is met by Clarence his guardian angel, as he contemplates ending his life. (Not Rated)
