Cash For Grass Rebate Program

Important message for those applying for the Cash for Grass Rebate Program:

Applications are processed in the order in which they were received.  Please do not retrofit your landscape prior to receiving a pre-inspection site visit from City of Roseville staff.  Doing so will make you ineligible for the program. 

Applications will only be accepted in-person or by mail at the following address:

You can have a beautiful yard without turfThe Cash for Grass Rebate Program helps property owners convert water-thirsty grass to a water efficient landscape. The City of Roseville will rebate customers $1.00 per square foot of grass removed and replaced with water efficient landscape with a $1,000 cap per address. Terms and conditions and frequently asked questions should be reviewed. Funding is limited and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. For additional questions not addressed in these documents, call us at 774-5761.

Check In
You must participate in a pre-conversion site visit before removing your lawn. Starting without City of Roseville's approval will make your conversion ineligible.

Cash In
After you upgrade, you'll get $1.00 for every square foot of lawn converted to water-smart landscaping with a maximum of $1,000 per address.

A beautiful yard with no lawnEvery square foot of grass replaced with water-smart trees, shrubs and flowers can save an average of 30 gallons of water per year, so you'll also save money on your monthly water bill.
