Old TV's and Computer Monitors
Disposal of television sets and computer monitors must be handled in a special way to avoid polluting the environment. There are several options to dispose of old electronics appropriately:
Drop off your electronic waste at the Utility Exploration Center!
You can drop off your electronic waste during opening hours at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center located at 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville (inside the Mahany Library Building). Proceeds from the electronic waste collected goes to fund the Center’s environmental education efforts. For Roseville Utility Exploration Center hours of operation, click here.
Take it to the Materials Recovery Facility.
The Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) will accept old televisions and computer monitors for free.
These items can be brought to the MRF free of charge for Placer County residents any day of the week from 8am-5pm. The facility is located at the corner of Fiddyment Road and Athens Road in Roseville.
For further information on fees at the MRF, click here.
Or save a trip and let us pick it up for free!
The City of Roseville Environmental Utilities Department will also provide a free hazardous and electronic waste pick-up service for Roseville residents. Some of the items eligible for pick-up include car batteries and oil, electronic waste such as televisions and computers, and all items covered by the new universal waste regulations. Residents simply call 774-5780 to schedule a pick-up time at their home. Pick-ups can occur as often as once a month. For a full list of items eligible for this new free pick-up service click here.
