Solar Rebates

Solar power is a clean source of energy that can help you save money on your electric bills!
Roseville Electric's solar rebate program provides incentives to customers who install solar systems at their homes.

Reservations are highly recommended. Projects completed without reservations are not guaranteed funds. Completed projects older than 90 days will not be considered for a rebate.

Solar Leasing: Per our Municipal Code, solar leasing is not permitted within the City of Roseville at this time. A Solar Policy group has been established at Roseville Electric to develop a long term sustainable policy regarding Solar interconnections. Roseville has one of the highest concentrations of Solar systems in the state – and in the nation. We expect that Solar leasing will increase our concentration dramatically. High concentrations of solar can produce unexpected negative impacts with regard to the distribution system, transmission requirements and electric utility rates. Utilities with higher concentrations of Solar systems are experiencing some of these impacts. Roseville Electric remains committed to reliability, and it is our goal to mitigate any negative impacts that solar leasing may have before allowing solar leasing within our city. Thank you for your patience during this process.

Solar Leasing & Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)

These rebate levels will diminish over time allowing us to stay in compliance with California’s Million Solar Roof Initiative (Senate Bill 1).
Please note: All Roseville Electric customers installing solar systems must complete forms A and C, complete an online energy audit and provide a CECPV even if they are not requesting a rebate. All rebate applications require a signed and dated building permit that verifies the installation has been inspected by the
City of Roseville Building Department.
