Foreign Trade Zone and Recycling Market Development Zone programs
Find more information about FTZ and RMDZ programs.

Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) This site was designed to provide information to virtually anyone involved in the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) program. Although Foreign-Trade Zones have grown since their creation by the Foreign-Trade Zones Act of 1934, there are still very few sources of information about FTZ’s. Recognizing this, information is provided at the Foreign-Trade Zone Resource Center.

Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ) The Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ) program combines recycling with economic development to fuel new businesses, expand existing ones, create jobs, and divert waste from landfills. The program provides attractive loans, technical assistance, and free product marketing to businesses that use materials from the waste stream to manufacture their products and are located in a zone. Local government incentives may include relaxed building codes and zoning laws, streamlined local permit processes, reduced taxes and licensing, and increased and consistent secondary material feedstock supply.
