About Economic Development

Roseville’s City Council is committed to providing a full complement of municipal services and a creative working environment to attract and retain business in Roseville. The Council values the investment over 5,700 businesses have made in our community and strives to efficiently operate the City to serve the needs of both businesses and their employees.

Over 71,000 people work in Roseville in an amazingly diverse list of industries. Roseville is South Placer’s high tech, health care, transportation, and retail hub with new jobs created daily and opportunities beckoning talented workers and business growth.

Office of Economic Development
The City’s Office of Economic Development is your central location for demographic and site selection information, business resources, and incentives offered to establish or grow your business in Roseville. Staff is available to provide tailored packages for your business inquiry, to facilitate your business location or expansion needs, and for referrals to wide array of resources.

Community Development Department
Roseville’s Community Development Department also offers pre-application technical assistance for those contemplating property development or redevelopment of existing sites in Roseville.Our convenient Permit Center, knowledgeable staff, predictable process, and low utility rates make developing in Roseville a worthwhile venture.

The Office of Economic Development is located within the City Manager’s Office.

Staff
Julia Burrows, Deputy City Manager, oversees the Office of Economic Development, and the Media Division. Julia has worked for the City of Roseville since 1988 and can be contacted at jburrrows@roseville.ca.us.

Karen Garner is an analyst for the Office of Economic Development. Karen has worked for the City since 1996. EDAC
Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) Makes recommendations to City Council on Economic Development related issues and provides oversight for implementation of the Economic Development Strategy.  The EDAC committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month and is open to the public.
