Summer Youth Bus Pass
Passes are valid for unlimited rides June 1-August 31, and can be used by youth in elementary and high school. The Summer Youth Bus Pass goes on sale May 1 each year. Valid on Roseville Transit, Placer County Transit, and Auburn Transit. No discount photo ID card is necessary to purchase or use the pass. Please note: these passes cannot be added to the Connect Card at this time.

Placer Commuter Express 
Placer Commuter Express accepts the Roseville Transit Commuter 10-Ride and 30-Day Passes at the:
- Rocklin Multi-Modal Station
- Taylor/I-80 Park & Ride lot
- All downtown Sacramento stops
Additional fare of $0.50 will be charged to Resident Commuter 10-Ride and 30-Day passholders.

Roseville Transit Commuter accepts the Placer Commuter Express Monthly Passes at the:

- All downtown Sacramento stops
Additional fare of $0.50 will be charged to Roseville/Rocklin Zone passholders. If you're using the Connect Card, you must use the Cash Value loaded on your Connect Card to pay the $0.50.

Commuter Vouchers

The commuter voucher program gives employees a convenient way to take advantage of pre-tax deductions or subsidies from employers for commuting expenses. Commuter vouchers are accepted by Roseville Transit as payment toward 10-Ride and 30-Day Passes as well as Capitol Corridor/Roseville Transit Commuter Monthly Passes.

Summer Youth Bus Pass



This summer, kids in southern Placer County can get all around town with the Summer Youth Bus Pass.

The pass is the perfect way to get to summer jobs, the mall, movies, and other summer activities.

The $10 pass is available to youth in elementary through high school, and is good for unlimited Local Service bus rides, June 1 - August 31, on:
- Roseville Transit
- Placer County Transit and
- Auburn Transit 


Where can I buy the Summer Youth Bus Pass?

The Summer Youth Bus Pass can be purchased where all Roseville Transit passes are sold. Passes go on sale in May each year. No youth or student ID is necessary to purchase or use the pass. Retail locations include:

Discount Fare Categories

The following passengers are eligible to pay the discounted fare by showing the driver an approved form of identification when boarding.

  • Local Service:
    • Persons with disabilities: Disabled Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Medicare card holders: Medicare card (accepted on Local Service only).
    • Senior citizens (ages 60+): DMV Senior Citizen Photo ID card, or Senior Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Youth (ages 5-18, through grade 12): Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency, or current middle or high school photo ID card. No photo ID card is necessary for ages 12 and under, or when using the Summer Youth Bus Pass.
    • Sierra College students: Ride free with Sierra College student ID card

  • Commuter Service & Game Day Express:
    • Roseville Resident: Resident Discount ID card issued by Roseville Transit. 
      Roseville residents are eligible for discounted fare. Residents must reside within the city limits of Roseville or own property within the city limits. If you do not pay utilities to the City of Roseville, you are not a Roseville resident. To show verification of residency, bring a picture ID and a City of Roseville utility bill to the Alternative Transportation office to obtain a Resident Discount ID.
    • Reverse Commuters (passengers who board in Sacramento and commute to Roseville for work): No Discount ID card is necessary

  • Arrow (formerly Dial-A-Ride):
    • Persons with disabilities: Disabled Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Senior citizens (ages 60+): DMV Senior Citizen Photo ID card, or Senior Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.

New, renewal, and replacement ID cards are $3 (with the exception of ADA Paratransit and Client Aide cards, which are free). 

How to obtain or renew a discount photo ID card

  1. Complete this application form and provide to the Alternative Transportation office
  2. Provide a photo
  3. Provide your required evidence (described on the application)
  4. Pay the $3 non-refundable processing fee (with the exception of initial ADA and Client Aide cards, which are free). Replacement cards are $3.

If you want to obtain a Connect Card discount ID, complete this application. The first card is free. It is $5 for replacement Connect Cards.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit

Passengers with disabilities that prevent them from using the Local bus system may apply for ADA Paratransit status on Roseville Transit Arrow (formerly Dial-A-Ride). Passengers must show the driver one of the following forms of identification:

  • Roseville Transit ADA Paratransit Photo ID card
    • ADA Paratransit fare for the cardholder
    • One companion at the discounted fare 
  • Roseville Transit ADA Paratransit with Attendant Photo ID card
    • ADA Paratransit fare for the cardholder
    • Free fare for the attendant
    • Discount fare for one companion

New, renewal, and replacement ADA Paratransit cards are free.

Client Aide ID Card

The Client Aide ID card is accepted on Local and Arrow (formerly Dial-A-Ride) services. It is available to qualified service provider staff who travel with clients or students who are unable to safely travel alone. The ID allows the cardholder to board for free and is valid only when the aide is accompanying clients or students. Showing the ID upon boarding authorizes the aide's clients or students to travel at the discounted fare without needing their own discount ID cards.

South Placer Bus Pass Subsidy

Eligible social, human service and non-profit agencies may purchase, and be partially reimbursed for, transit daily passes to distribute to low income clients.

Subsidized passes may be used by clients needing short-term assistance traveling to non-emergency medical care or general public assistance services on local buses in the south Placer area.

All fares are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, used to purchase other fare, or to pay no-show fees. Fares are subject to change and governed by Roseville Municipal Code §14.30. Failure to pay the proper fare is violation of California Penal Code Section 640.
