Two projects underway to improve vehicle, bike and pedestrian traffic

Updated February 17, 2021
Westbrook/Payson/Octave intersection upgrades

An improved crossing for bikes and pedestrians is in progress at the intersection of Westbrook Boulevard and Payson/Octave Avenue.

The upgrades will provide a more direct connection for trail users traveling across Westbrook Boulevard. These changes also improve the route for students walking and biking to nearby schools. You’ll soon see:

•  A new traffic signal with accessible pedestrian features and flashing yellow arrows,
•  Wide green crosswalk for better visibility and safety,
•  Separate signal push buttons allowing more crossing time for pedestrians and less time for bicyclists, and
•  A leaning rail so bicyclists waiting to cross the street don't need to dismount.

A similar project was completed in 2019 at the intersection of Junction and Park Regency.

Digital message sign on Pleasant Grove Boulevard

A new digital message sign will soon be available to communicate critical traffic and safety information on westbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard between Roseville Parkway and Highway 65.

Currently 11 signs are located along Roseville's largest roadways. These digital signs are part of Roseville’s intelligent transportation system

Schedule and cost

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, Feb. 22. Work will continue through spring.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to weather, materials and other unforeseen conditions.

Please be alert and travel with care near the work zones.

These two improvements, totaling $965,700 are paid for by the Traffic Mitigation Fund. No City of Roseville Measure B or General Fund money is contributing to the projects.
