Stop the drops during Fix a Leak Week

Ten percent of homes have leaks that waste 90 gallons of water per day. 90 gallons! Is your home one of them?

Fix a Leak Week (March 18 – 23) is the perfect time to find out if you have leaks and where they might be hiding. Are they inside or outside? Worn toilet flappers, dripping faucets, and leaky irrigation pipes are common types of leaks that are easily fixed. But you have to find them first.

City of Roseville Water Efficiency experts are here to help you track those leaks down. Roseville residents can schedule a free Water Wise House Call and enter to win a weather-based irrigation timer.

Stop by the Roseville Utility Exploration Center to check out the leaky sink on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 18 – 21 and Saturday, March 23. You will see how quickly a little leak adds up. And because toilets are the number one leak offender in bathrooms, free dye tablets will be available for pick up to test toilets at home. Drop the dye tablet in the top toilet tank, then wait 10 minutes to see if any color shows up in the toilet bowl. If there is color in the bowl, your toilet is leaking.
