Overarching Goals

Roseville City staff's mission is to create and maintain a vibrant community environment and enhance the quality of life for our residents, businesses, customers and partners. We accomplish this by providing exceptional facilities, programs and services in a fiscally responsible manner. The City Council's overarching goals are:

Community Outreach
Continue an organized collaborative effort to assess community needs and align City Services that exceed our customers expectations. Our priorities are to inform and educate the community, establish a Community Standards Advisory Committee and expand our involvement in regional and statewide issues affecting Roseville.

Community Wellness
Increase the safety, peace and livability of our community by addressing unsafe conditions, reducing crime and disorder and promoting healthy relationships. Our priorities are to complete the design of Fire Station No. 7, and open a temporary station, maintain adequate staff for patrol, communications, records and other core services, continue offering community, youth and family programs within the constraints of the budget, and improve access to health, education and recreation opportunities.

Community Investment
Invest in community facilities, programs and services that maintain and enhance Roseville's high quality of life. Our priorities are to continue to find and construct infrastructure to support the City's growth and envisioned by the General Plan, establish strategies and programs to maintain and improve existing City infrastructure and facilities and investigate innovated ways to augment and enhance City infrastructure and facilities.

Organizational improvement
Improve and enhance City systems and processes that provide added value to the community and improve service to our customers. Our priorities are to implement organizational improvement initiatives, employee training and development, customer service training and measurement tools and high tech - high touch service delivery.

Fiscal Responsibility
Maintain fiscal resources by balancing costs and revenue to maintain long-term sustainability of programs, services and facilities. Our priorities are to always have a balanced budget, long-term sustainability of core services and maintain key City investments.
