The City of Roseville welcomes home-based businesses.  Small businesses are a significant part of Roseville's economy and many of Roseville's small businesses are home-based businesses.  To start a home occupation in Roseville, there are two easy steps.

Step One - Obtain a Home Occupation Clearance
You will need to visit the Planning Department and request a Home Occupation Clearance. The Planning Department ensures that home occupations comply with zoning ordinance requirements. Check the Planning Land Use/Zoning page to see a list of requirements for home occupations.

Step Two - Obtain a Business License
After receiving a Home Occupation Clearance, you can then obtain a Business License through our Finance Department.
